The scope of our collection was to reflect the idea that we have of the chic modern woman. The designs represent independent and powerful women without neglecting their femininity through elegant fabrics and flattering necklines. We got inspired by Australia’s major natural attractions such as the famous Great Barrier Reef, the Uluru, the Bungle Bungles, the Kakadu and its exquisite flora.

Concerning colour, we wanted to showcase the vibrant nature of Australia by having a colourful collection. And to add cohesion, we decided to play with lines throughout the designs by creating gathers, pleats, tucks and patterns.

To achieve sustainability, we chose
1) To focus on using eco-friendly and recycled materials (fabrics and trims)- Organic wool/cotton, Tencel, Linen, Pure silk, etc.

2) Privilege manual work and high quality during manufacturing - Hand painting, intricate beading, crocheting and so on. All of these processes would be done by local(HCMC) skilled workers.

3) Use economical ways to reduce wastage of resources - During the designing process, most of the work was done electronically and therefore there was no waste of paper and time. Wise pattern arrangement would be done to minimise wastage of fabric and costs during cutting. Moreover, the collection is one that has no specific season and so the garments can be worn over several occasions and be used to their full potential. Through our work, we wanted to show that it is possible to combine chic, feminine dressing with sustainability.
